Clarity in vision. Confidence in life. How we see shapes how we live — and when people see better, they live more fully. That belief is why I chose refractive surgery.
I'm a refractive and cataract surgeon based in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving San Francisco, Palo Alto, Saratoga, San Jose, the East Bay, Santa Rosa, Sacramento and the greater Bay Area. I completed my ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri, where I served as chief resident, and trained in refractive surgery at Parkhurst NuVision under Dr. Gregory Parkhurst — principal investigator for the FDA EVO ICL trial and one of the country's most respected, highest-volume EVO ICL surgeons — where I have been involved in a high volume of EVO ICL, LASIK, PRK, SMILE, and premium cataract cases.
I offer the full spectrum of vision correction — EVO ICL, LASIK, PRK, SMILE, refractive lens exchange, and premium cataract surgery — because no two eyes are alike, and the best outcome comes from matching the right procedure to the right patient rather than a one-size-fits-all model. My approach is built on radical transparency and patient education: I want every patient fully informed about their options, candidacy, risks, and realistic outcomes. For excellent candidates, that education becomes excitement; for those who aren't ready, I'll honestly tell them to wait.
I'm also the co-founder and lead engineer of ICL Fit (ICLFit.com), the leading AI-based ICL-sizing agent, and a published researcher in ICL sizing and vault prediction — because the future of vision correction is precise, data-driven, and personalized to each eye.
